The cultural life in the city is rich and covers many fields. The Regional Museum, located in the Town Hall, is the organiser of many events, exhibitions and competitions. It also exhibits collections of archaeology, history, art, ethnography and archival photography.

The Centre of Culture and Art and the Municipal Cultural Centre have created many  events, which have been included into the cultural "landscape" of the city. The most known are; Shanty, "Recital" Polish Festival of Singing Poetry, International Jazz Standards Festival, International Festival of Music, Dance and Folklore, Polish Tournament of Poetry reading  "Kamień Wiary" and many others.

The clubs operated by the various housing complexes throughout the city offer  various cultural and sport activities especially for both younger and older children. "Limes" Student Centre for Cultural Activities and "peHa" Student's Club are operated by the Podlasie Academy.

The "Podlasie" and "Chodowiacy" Dance Groups maintain regional and national folk traditions.

Siedlce youth dance groups have won prestigious Polish and international competitions. "Małe Podlasie", "Caro Dance", "Luz" and "M'97" are recognised among many dance groups.

Local poets, members of several poet groups and clubs, enrich the cultural life of the city.

Artistic education and the development of skills of young musicians is provided by the Music School of 1^st and 2^nd degree. Choirs working with the Music School and Podlasie Academy win awards at regional and national contests. The Podlasie Art School has long tradition in teaching local artists.
